Vassfossen
Vassfossen is a nice waterfall near Vestre Jakobselv, west of Vadsø in the north of Norway (Finnmark), not far from the border with Finland.
From Vadsø, take road 75 to the west, along the Varangerfjorden and in Annijoki/Vestre Jakobselv take road Fv323 to the north for appr 5 kilometer. The road follows the course of the river until the road ends at the Vaselva with the nice Vassfossen nearby (gps 70.1559, 29.32802). I am not sure how to get at the waterfall. There is a path going east to some houses but I am not sure if you have a clear view on the waterfall. There are photo’s taken of Vassfossen, so probably there is.
Two are several other waterfalls near Vadsø like:
Forstefossen, Andrefossen and Tredjefossen.
Although the waterfalls in Finnmark aren’t very high there are a few waterfalls really worthwhile to visit and Vassfossen is one of them. Vassfossen is an unofficial named waterfall in a tribute river of the Jakobselv not far from Tredjefossen. The water of the Vasselvi drops down vertically over 15 meters and can be even so width.
