Cascade du Matacas
Cascade du Matacas is a waterfall located at cirque de Troumouse. Cirque de Troumouse is located southeast of Gedre in the region Midi Pyrenees/Haute Pyrenees, France.
From Argelès-Gazost drive south to Luz Saint Sauveur and further in the direction of Gavarnie on road D921. At Gedre take the D922 to Cirque de Troumouse. The road end at a big parking (gps 42.728219, 0.095744) with a marvelous view on the cirque. Cirque de Troumouse is a circus created by glaciers and has a diameter of 4 kilometer.
From the parking there are several trails and the one you should take is 4 hour roundtrip trail that leads along Cascade du Matacas.
There are several other waterfalls in cirque de Troumouse.
