Turtmannfall

The Turtmannfall or Turtmann wasserfall is a nice looking waterfall near the village of Turtmann in the region Valais, Switzerland. Actually this is the french speaking part of Switzerland, so Cascade de la Turtmanna should be a better name.

The waterfall is easy to reach. From Sion drive east over highway 9 and drive into Turtmann. Take the exit to Ergisch. Follow the road straight ahead. A little further park your car at the cable station (gps 46.298615, 7.701721).

The waterfall can be viewed from the cable car leaving from Turtmann or better through a short walk, also starting from the cable station. From the cable station it is a 5-10 minute walk, following the river upstream.
