Schleierfall (Ferleiten)
The Schleierfall is one of the many waterfalls along the Grossglocknerstrasse, near Ferleiten in the region Salzburg, Austria. The Schleierfall is an official named waterfall and is located south of Ferleiten at the east side of the valley.
From the toll point for the Grossglocknerstrasse, just after Fusch, you already can see the Schleierfall in the river Oberstattbach. The Schleierfall is a small waterfall of approximately 20 meters high. There is a small car park at the Schleierfall (gps 47.162966, 12.815428).
Best time to visit the Schleierfall is in the early summer, in the afternoon.
A little north you can admire the ‘highest waterfall of Austria’, the Walcher wasserfall with a total height of 520 meter.
