Rhiwagor waterfall
The Rhiwagor waterfall is a nice looking waterfall north of Lake Vyrnwy, near Llanwddyn, in Wales (UK). I totally misted this waterfall when visiting Wales in the summer of 2023. The Rhiwagor waterfall is maybe a little bit an unknown waterfall that I discovered (probably) on Instagram.
When driving along the shore of Lake Vyrnwy, there is a parking at the end (along road B4393) with toilet facilities and a picnic bench (gps 52.804427, -3.538789). From here you can make a roundtrip walk of 2,8 kilometer, following the river Afon Eiddew. It is an easy walk along the southside of the river. On the way back you can take the path at the north side of the river. After 15-20 minutes you will see the Rhiwagor waterfall plunging down over approximately 25 meter. It is possible to the base of the waterfall but there isn’t an official path.
Best time to go to the Rhiwagor waterfall is after a rainy period when the waterfall is quite powerful.
