Nonsfossen

Nonsfossen is a waterfall in the south/middle of Norway and is located south of Byrkjelo, near the hamlet Egge, along road 39. The river Nonselva drops down over more then 500 meters. Nonsfossen is an unofficial named waterfall although it can be found on some maps.

The Nonsfossen can be a great waterfall with a tremendous height. Unfortunately I have seen photo’s with a low volume in the river Nonselva, where you hardly can recognize the waterfall but in the right season (after heavy rainfall or a peak of melting snow) the Nonsfossen can grow into an admirable waterfall of significance.
