Iffigfall
(Iffigenfall, Iffigbach wasserfall)
The Iffigfall or Iffigenfall or Iffigbach wasserfall is a quite unknown waterfall near Lenk in the region Berner Oberland, Switzerland. I really don’t know why because it is a tall powerful waterfall.
At the roundabout in Lenk take the right exit to the Iffigenalp and the parking Hubbelmatte (Pöschenriedstrasse – gps 46.416275, 7.438525). From the parking it is a few minute walk until you reach the base of the Iffigfall.
Another great viewpoint is located in the first corner of the road when walking up the road, aside of the waterfall. The Iffigfall is appr. 70 meter high but the exact height is difficult to determine.
There are several other great waterfalls near Lenk but the most famous one is the Simmenfälle. From here you can walk to several other waterfalls: Siebenbrunnen, Laubbachfall, Flueseelifall and another high waterfall the Truebbachfall. Lenk is also a very cosy village with a nice atmosphere, a good place to stay.
The Iffigfall is falling towards the north, so light is a problem for photographing. I think late in the afternoon should be the best time to visit the Iffigfall.
