Cascata di Val Mött
(Cascata di Val Moett)
Cascata di Val Mött is a 30 meter high waterfall near Gerra and Brione (Valle Verzasca) in the region Ticino, Switzerland.
When driving into Valle Verzasca, Cascata di Val Mött shows up at the right side of the road between Brione and Gerra. There is a parking in front of the waterfall (gps 46.315207, 8.802995) with a great view. Note: you have to pay for the parking but that goes for the whole valley!!!!
I was visiting valle Verzasca July 2021 and the waterfall is easy to spot. I was there early in the morning and the sun was right above the waterfall, impossible to photograph. But I was heading to more waterfalls in the valley so on my way back it was a little better. In the afternoon you shouldn’t face problem with the sun shining in your lens.
From a distance the waterfall is nice to see but not very special. Maybe if you walk to the base of the waterfall I would be more enthusiastic. You can walk a little closer to the bridge in front of Cascata di Val Mött from Gerra. A trail runs at the east side of the river to the viewpoint on the pedestrian bridge with picnic facilities (5-10 minute walk).
