Cascata da Bernina

Cascata da Bernina is a waterfall near the train station of Morteratsch (Pontresina) in the region Graubünden, Switzerland.

The waterfall is very easy to reach: from Pontresino drive south to Morteratsch on road 29. Take the exit Morteratsch / camping. There are several (paid) parking but further down the road there is a big parking for free (gps 46.452532, 9.941318). Behind the parking the river Ova da Bernina cascades down over 50 meter.

Unfortunately it are all small cascades that can’t be viewed from the bridge as one big waterfall. Next to the river there is a path going up. I have seen pictures of the waterfall with a train going over the Cascata da Bernina.
