Cascade du Gros Hêtre

Cascade du Gros Hêtre is a small twinfall with a single drop of 10 meter, located near Eaux-Bonnes in the French Pyrenees.

Cascade du Gros Hêtre is located 2 kilometer east of Eaux-Bonnes along road d918. There is a small path to the right heading straight to the river, into the forrest (at a house) where the waterfall can be found.

There is a small parking (gps 42.967312, -0.372339) along the road, just before the exit. From here it is less then a  5 minute walk to cascade du Gros Hêtre. There are small yellow signs pointing to the waterfall.

The viewpoint is right in front of cascade du Gros Hêtre but if you walk to the right and take a picture from aside it is much more beautiful.

A little further, also along road d918, there is another bigger, more impressive waterfall called cascade de Ley in Gourette.
