Cascada la Foradada

Cascada la Foradada is gorgeous waterfall near Cantonigròs in the region Catalonia, Spain.

Cascada la Foradada is not far away from Gerona (86 km) and can be reached by driving from Gerona to the south and then taking road C25 to the west along Joanet. Take the exit 183 and follow road C153 to Cantonigròs. here you have to follow the signs to Cantonigròs until you see a big sign “Cascada la Foradada”. Park the car at the parking at the end of the dust road at the soccer field.

The walk takes about 30 minutes (1,5 kilometer) and is easy to do. On the route to Cascada la Foradada you have to descent 160 meter. More information about the hike can be found on the website of Wikiloc.

Cascada la Foradada can be very nice and a paradise when there is water in the river. Best time to visit the waterfall is after heavy rainfall but can also run dry. Best period to visit the waterfall is probably autumn or early spring.
