Bjornaafossen
(Bjørnåafossen)
Bjørnåafossen is an unknown and is also an unofficial named waterfall near Leksvik (Trondheimsfjorden) in the region Nord-Trøndelag, Norway.
At Trondheim you can take the ferry to the other side of the fjord and then drive to Leksvik (northeast) on road Rv755 that runs along the Trondheimsfjord. Bjørnåafossen is located at the left side of the fjord, 10 kilometer for Leksvik. You have to pay attention when crossing a small bridge over the river Bjørnåa. There is a small parking for 1 car 100 meter before the bridge at the right side.
Bjørnåafossen is located within the Himmelriket naturreservat and is over 200 meter high. There is no official trail going up along the river but there is a track (more northeast up the road) that leads to the top of Bjørnåafossen.
I am not sure whether the waterflow is consistent. Best time to visit the waterfall is early summer-summer.
