Bärentritt
Bärentritt is a gorgeous waterfall dropping down under the railway between Davos Wiesen and Davos Monstein in the region Graubünden, Switzerland.
When sitting in the train from Davos to Albula/Alvra you can see Bärentritt for a split second, in between two tunnels. A better view or the even better the perfect view is from a pedestrian road along the canyon at the Landwasser river (Landwasserschlucht).
To visit Bärentritt drive from the village of Davos south to Wiesen. Just after the Landwasser tunnel there is a busstop and an exit to the right. There is hardly any place to park the car (gps 46.702277, 9.724429) but you are near the Bärentritt waterfall. When walking down the pedestrian road (keep right) you will arrive, within 5 minutes, at a magnificent viewpoint on the Bärentritt. The waterfall drops down over 30 meter with in the middle of the waterfall a railway.
You also can park your at the railway station of Davos-Wiesen (gps 46.695831, 9.716130). From here you also can walk to the Bärentritt waterfall in appr. 15 minutes. And there are some nice viewpoint in the surrounding of the railway station, a nice bonus!
