Cascata del Boschetto

Cascata del Boschetto is a nice waterfall near Cevio in Valle di Maggia, Ticono, Switzerland.

From Locarno drive into Valle di Maggia, passing Maggia and Someo. Before entering Cevio you see a glimpse of a waterfall at the left side of the road (this is Cascata del Boschetto). Proceed following the main road, cross the bridge, now with a good view on Cascata del Boschetto on the left side. In Cevio you have to find the road to Boschetto (there aren’t always signs), towards Val di Blenio and then Boschetto.

In Boschetto park the car near the church (gps 46.306190, 8.604737) and walk towards the river. I am not sure if there is a path or that you have to walk through the riverbed to the base of the waterfall. I have seen pictures of Cascata del Boschetto from close by, so it must be possible (somehow)

There are multiple drops in the river “Ri di Boschetto” but the last drops are the tallest ones. I think the biggest single drop is appr. 40 meter.

There are several other great waterfalls in and around Valle di Maggia. Most famous one is cascata di Foroglio in Valle di Bavona, a must to visit.
