Sandárfoss is a waterfall in the Northeast of Iceland in a famous salmon river called Sandá. Sandárfoss is a moderate waterfall with a dropping height of 15 meters. Beside some information of the river Sandá there isn’t much information to be found.
Driving on road 85 between Þórshöfn and Raufarhöfn take road 8977 into Þistilfjörður. From the farm Syðra-Áland it a 4 kilomter walk to the Sandárfoss. From road 85 it is probably possible to drive along the westbank of the river Sandá. From the end of the road it is about 2 kilometers walking.
