Cascades des Échelles

Cascades des Échelles is a series of waterfalls in the river Ruisseau de Peyralade in the French Pyrenees.

The waterfalls are located south of Arrien en Bethmale in Reserve Domaniale du Mont Valier. From Arrien en Bethmale drive west over road D4 and turn left after 2,5 kilometers to Ayer. Drive to the end of the valley to a big parking “Pla de la Lau” (gps 42.832669, 1.031002).

From the parking it is a 2 kilometer walk (GRT55) following the river south before Cascades des Échelles shows up. From the river there is a good view on the falls but there is also a trail going up along the Cascades des Échelles.
