Skorhagafoss
Skorhagafoss is a nice little waterfall in the river Brynjudalsá on your way to the amazing Glymur waterfall. The waterfall is located along road 47 (Hvalfjarðarvegur), at the end of Hvalfjörður in the region Vesturland, Iceland.
Coming from Reykjavik you first see a scenic waterfall at the right side of the road in the river Fossa called Fossarétt. A few hundred meter further you cross the river Brynjudalsá where Skorhagafoss is located. You can see Skorhagafoss form the mainroad in the distance. Before the bridge there is a dust road that leads to Skorhagafoss.
The waterfall named after the farm Skorhagi. In earlier days the waterfall was much more powerful but salmon traps are responsible for a limited flow of the river Brynjudalsá.
